Susan Dell rumours: online mockery is not evidence
Viral “lizard” comparisons and a fabricated South Park claim need a reality check.
Susan Dell’s White House appearance prompted “reptilian” comparisons online, according to IBTimes UK. Those comments are speculation, not evidence that a person is non-human. Photographs also cannot establish a medical diagnosis or whether someone has had a cosmetic procedure.
Dell is co-founder and board chair of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, according to the foundation’s biography.
A separate viral claim said South Park had announced an episode about Dell and that she had angrily responded. Lead Stories reported on October 12 that the supposed announcement and response were not genuine.
Before sharing a sensational post, find its original source and distinguish a verified statement from a meme. Appearance-based insults do not help explain the policy or philanthropy behind a public event.
